IT IS A WELL KNOWN FACT THAT KARNATAKA HAS THE HIGHEST TAXES..There is no art which one Government sooner learns of another than that of draining money from the pockets of the public..The Government must not take the Trade & Industry and the Public as granted to impose Flood Tax or any other at their will..The Trade & Indusry and Public has responded beyond the expectations to the Hon'ble C M and contributed in cash & kind to the maximum. They will continue it in the State's interest but they will not like it in form of Taxes.
karnataka is already having highest Taxes & request to the Government not to adopt the unhealthy ways but to have the same way which they used for collecting the relief amounts..Have a dialogue with selected Trade represantatives & resident associations on this subject. After detailed discussions on the required funds, available sources & new strategies, whatever the outcome will be easily acceptable to one & all.Consider the situations in all the aspects alike recession, already increasing essential commodity prices affecting the public to the maximum, failure of all the festivals in respect of sales etc..As a responsible citizens we are ready to contribute to the maximum to the exchequers but create confidence & goodwill..Taxpayers should be treated as customers..Opposition parties also must be taken into confidence on this..
Either this year or sooner we may have a new tax system in form of GST..Whatever discussion the Government should have with the trade & industry on this crucial aspect, should happen before implementation..Some views..
*UNIFORMITY IS THE MUST ALL OVER INDIA..
*ENTRY TAX.PURCHASE TAX, OCTROI & OTHER TAXES TO BE INTEGRATED IN GST.
*THRESHOLD LIMITS & PENALTY PROVISIONS TO BE REASONABLE.
*INTEREST OF MEDIUM & SMALL TRADERS TO BE SAFEGUARDED IN GST..
*CST TO BE COMPLETELY PHASED OUT WHICH MEANS TO BE AT ZERO.
DECADES..
*ONLY ONE AUDIT EITHER INCOME TAX OR VAT IS ENOUGH..
Hope & trust our sincere request will be considered positively ..
